FULL SPECTRUM VS. BROAD SPECTRUM VS. ISOLATE

When shopping for CBD products you may find different CBD labels: Full spectrum, Broad spectrum and CBD Isolate. This can be confusing when you’re unsure what each term means. Isn’t all CBD the same thing? Not really, no. But have no fear, we are here to break down what each term means, so you can find the perfect product for you!

FULL SPECTRUM CBD: Full spectrum CBD extract contains all of the compounds found in the cannabis or hemp plant including, CBD, THC (below 0.3%), terpenes, flavonoids, and other minor cannabinoids, including: CBG, CBN, CBDa, and THCa. The compounds work together to amplify the health benefits of each compound. This is what is called the entourage effect. The entourage effect is a theory that the ingredients in the plant work better together than in isolation.

Broad spectrum CBD: Broad spectrum CBD is similar to full spectrum CBD with the exception that it is THC free.

CBD Isolate: CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD with all other compounds removed. This option is exceptional for people with THC sensitivity or people who rather not consume THC at all. CBD isolate carries little to no risk of intoxication.
